Launching with a new name and 25 categories, the Dobby’s are well underway at the HPFF forum. Nominating in a variety of categories, HPFF members are letting us know who are the best authors, stories, reviewers and moments in fanfiction.

With only a week or so under our belt, we’ve already received over 900 nominations in the various categories. Congratulations to all those nominated so far and don’t forget to stop by and make your own nomination!

Have a fic at HPFF that you just adore? Found a story about a ship that no one else would ever think of writing? Know an author that can write a James/Lily like no one else on the planet?

Fanfiction writers at HPFF have talent that we believe is unparalleled at any site. Now, for the first time, you are going to get the chance to nominate and vote for the best of the best at HPFF.

Get to reading, dust off those fics you haven’t read in awhile, take a look at the new things coming through the queue…a dozen different categories will be open to nominations and you, all our wonderful site members, get the chance to tell our authors what a great job they have done. The HPFF Phoenix Awards….coming soon!

The forum will be getting a major upgrade next weekend jn an effort to improve functionality and speed when the board gets busy.

The mods to the board (arcade, chat, spam check etc) will also need to be re installed. There will be some slight disruption during the weekend but hopefully it will be kept to a minimum. Please bear with us while these upgrades are put in place.

With the upcoming book release, it’s time to give our validators their much needed vacation. As such, the queue will close on Tuesday, July 17 and will reopen the following Friday, July 27.

Trusted authors will still be able to submit during this time and staff will be here to maintain the site at all times. However, NO stories by non-trusted authors will be accepted during this time frame.

This is approximately a month away and we will give another reminder closer to the queue closure time.

Oh, this is just perfect. We release the anticipated Deathly Challenge and The Oracle goes bonkers. I hear she's floating around the forum screaming for people not to participate. Yes, we did phase the Oracle out for this competition because we were finally able to go back in and edit stories. She definately didn't take getting her pink slip well....
